Malvern have launched a number of e-learning training courses as an alternative to traditional classroom style of training course. The courses deliver an interactive audio visual training experience via the internet.
Each course is split into a number of different modules and at the end of each module is a test designed to test the success of the learning experience. Access to the course is provided for 3 months and during that period the student may access the different modules and retake the tests as often as they like.
When each course has been successfully completed the student is sent a Certificate of Completion which is suitable for inclusion in official training records.
Benefits of e-learning include:
Employees learn at their own pace, at a time and place convenient to them
Helps to ensure all instrument users have had same basic training
Reduces training costs, with no travel or accommodation costs
Low cost of courses compared to traditional training
Suitable for both new installations and new users of an existing installation
Reduces productivity losses from employees being away from their work place
Open access for 3 months reduces the risk of “training overload” experienced at intense 1 day courses.
