Morphologi G3-ID Particle Characterization with Raman Chemical ID

Morphologi G3-ID integrates automated size/shape analysis of particles from 0.5 micron – 10 mm with chemical identification provided by Raman microscopy. Best in class particle morphological analysis by Malvern Instruments coupled with best in class Raman spectroscopy by Kaiser Optical Systems Inc. means unparalleled performance, ease of use, and commitment to customer satisfaction.

You may need the Morphologi G3-ID if:
• You want to know the chemical identity of a class of particles
• full size and shape characterization of particles still does not solve your problem
• manually targeting particles for Raman measurements takes too long
• you worry about operator bias in targeting samples for chemical analysis
• using one system to target particles and a second to obtain their Raman spectra is unacceptable
• you need Raman spectra from particles only, not the entire area within which they reside
• you want to perform chemical identification of particles in-house
• you want a Raman microscope that will automatically target specific particles/morphological features

Potential application areas:
• Pharmaceutical granules and powder blends – QbD
• Nasal spray and orally inhaled drug products – OINDP
• Formulation development
• Crystals characterization - polymorphs, salts and co-crystals
• Contaminant identification
• Cellular and biological samples – tissue and cell morphology
• Forensics
• Chemical characterization of aggregates
• Semi-conductor characterization
• Minerals characterization

How is the Morphologi G3-ID different?
It provides size, shape AND chemical Identification
Unlike a traditional Raman microscope, G3-Raman automatically targets individual particles

What you get with the Morphologi G3-ID:
Full Morphologi G3 capabilities – automated particle characterization
Kaiser Optical Systems Inc. RxN1 Raman spectrometer with Mk-II microprobe
Research grade Raman microscope
Range of sampling options: “Random access” point, line and area map for sparse samples, “Sequential access” line and area map for contiguous samples
Complete size and shape characterization of samples
Automatic targeting - ONLY particles of interest
