Malvern Instruments’ Zetasizer range uses light scattering techniques to measure hydrodynamic size, zeta potential and molecular weight of proteins and nanoparticles.

Technology – Unequalled sensitivity and versatility are achieved using the latest technology:

  • Patented NIBS optics improves sensitivity and size range /concentration range in the Zetasizer Nano S and ZS
  • M3-PALS is the leading technology for measurement of Zeta-potential.
  • Single-mode fibre, 50 m W laser and focused optics enable measurements of unrivalled quality of Proteins and other biomolecules.

Applications:

  • Colloids – Measure the size and zeta-potential to optimise stability and shelf life and speed up formulation development.  Automate pH titrations and measurements using the optional autotitrator.
  • Nanoparticles – Measure size, polydispersity and zeta-potential to optimise production processes.
  • Proteins – Determine the presence of aggregates; screen for optimum crystallisation conditions; and study oligomer formation in as little as 2μL of sample, requiring just nanograms of material.
